In just 8 months since its launch, STX's global B2B digital platform TrollyGo has surpassed 170,000 users across 187 countries, and it has successfully facilitated the sale of an artwork.
On the 24th, STX, a global trading company, announced that a marble sculpture by Jong-geol Choi, a mid-career sculptor, was sold on the TrollyGo digital platform. The artwork was listed by an art agency that registered as a vendor on the platform.
Additionally, large artworks by artist Jiana Kim, registered by the art consulting firm OKNP, which spun off from Gana Art Gallery in 2013, have also been displayed on the TrollyGo platform, attracting significant interest from corporate members.
The fact that TrollyGo, a global B2B platform expanding its product categories beyond raw materials and industrial goods to include both tangible and intangible goods and services, now also handles the trade of artworks is significant. Artworks for corporate exhibitions or large sculptures installed inside and outside corporate buildings are high-value purchase items for businesses, and the synergy with the B2B platform TrollyGo is expected to be strong.
An STX representative sated, "TrollyGo, which set a new standard for B2B corporate transactions, aims to be a global platform encompassing all purchases and sales needed by companies, including raw materials and industrial goods like nickel, lithium, and steel. We will continue to expand the product categories and enhance our services to meet all corporate needs that cannot be fulfilled through search engines."
They added, "It is encouraging that the trade of corporate-purchased artworks has been realized through a digital platform. Starting with this art sale, we will ensure that TrollyGo can serve as a platform to promote the value of K-Art globally and support its growth as a leading example in the trading industry."
